Who am I?

I am Prasad Mani, an astrophysics Ph.D. student at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India. I am working on understanding the interior structure of the Sun by studying vibrations on its surface, a branch of solar physics known as helioseismology. Whereas terrestrial seismologists study earthquakes, helioseismologists study ‘Sun quakes’. I am also a bachelor in electronics engineering. I learned classical music a while ago, so my singing is at least halfway decent. Now I mostly read, write, listen, and lift heavy-ass weights!

Visit this page to understand why I think writing blogs is not a waste of time.
